Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, The Bistro will not open Spring 2020. All MTC Cafe’s are closed until students are allowed to return to campus. All cosmo/barbering/massage/etc – We will contact you to reschedule those appointments for after April 15, 2020.

    Monday – Thursday Evening:  6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
    Saturday 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m and 1-3pm on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month while class is in session.
    Nails are only on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the first Saturday of every month while class is in session.

Additional Services

Auto Collision Technology offers headlight restoration; fees range from $10 to $50.  Students can also do vehicle paint and repair work on an estimate-per-job basis.

Carpentry—For the cost of materials and a donation to the program (and time allowed), students will do carpentry jobs for local non-profit and government organizations. Contact instructor Barry King at or 941.751.7900 x 1070 or 1071.

Computer Systems & Information Technology The CSIT program asks for a $25 donation for computer repairs, which may include, virus removal, upgrades, application setup, Windows installation, plus the cost of any needed replacement parts. For more information, contact the instructor, Jeff Barnum, at

Digital Design students at MTC design business cards, bookmarks, booklets, brochures, logos, book covers, posters and banners. They also do photography: headshots, studio portraits, food, and pets. Prices range between $30 and $150. Contact Marina Proskurina at 941.751.7900 x 1096.

Digital Video Technology students offer video production (PSA, promotional, commercial, studio/location), video web content, and studio rental. Contact Amity Hoffman at for pricing.

Major Appliance Technology students provide repair service to all types of major appliances—washers, dryers, microwaves, stoves, refrigerators/freezers, and dishwashers—pending instructor evaluation for instructional value. Customers will be charged for parts, shipping, tax and a shop fee of $25. Other stipulations apply. For more information, contact instructor Paul Labbe, at 751-7900 x 1106.

Marine Service Technology students will perform boat engine and electrical repairs and fix trailer lights and bearings for the retail cost of the parts and a minimum $75 donation to the program. Call instructor Kelly Ewing at x1107 or Bret Watson at 751-7900 x1127.

Web Development —students develop informational websites, blogs, and e-stores for local business and non-profit organizations. They also provide search engine optimization and online marketing. Call instructor Vera Bourenina at 941.751.7900 x 1119 for more information.
