Instructional Goal:

To prepare an instructor student to obtain Commission certification as a high-liability instructor in handgun and instruct the Criminal Justice Firearms chapter in the Florida Basic Recruit Training Program and the Handgun Instructor Course

Dates: March 19-20, 23-25, 2026
Time: 0800-1700  (23^rd night shoot 1:00pm-10:00pm)

Registration:

Limited to 12 officers. To register, officers should contact their training sections. The agency training section will register the officer with the Academy. The Academy does not accept registrations from individuals. MTC enrollment form required.*** There is also a pre-qualification before the class begins on day one. ***

Registration Closes: March 9, 2026

Proper dress required: Uniform/BDUs, gun belt and firearm (1200 rounds of ammo).
