(Bradenton, FL—December 2, 2015) Manatee Technical College is hosting a Career Expo, Job Fair and Open House 3 to 7 p.m. December 9 in partnership with CareerSource Suncoast. Everyone is welcome.
Open house attendees will have the opportunity to see career preparation programs in action, talk with instructors and career counselors, and get their questions answered about enrolling and financial aid. Students will also take guests on personalized tours of the 211,000 square foot building.
Over 50 companies will be represented at the job fair. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with hiring managers. CareerSource Suncoast will be hosting presentations on the employment assistance they provide. Staff will be also available to talk with people individually.
At the open house, visitors will be able to learn about all of MTC’s programs offered at all four campuses. The building will be decorated for the holidays. Braden River High School students from jazz band and orchestra will be playing live music.
Manatee Technical College is an accredited post-secondary college of adult, career and technical education. Manatee Tech awards applied technology diplomas and technical certificates that articulate to state college credit. MTC offers over 50 industry-certified career training programs that range in length from two months to two years. In most cases, a student can prepare for a career in a year.
Continuing education is offered to those already employed who need additional training or certification for job retention or promotion. Dual enrollment is available tuition free to high school juniors and seniors.
Manatee Technical College also offers adult general education classes for adults who need to learn English, improve basic academic skills, or earn a GED® high school equivalency diploma. Classes are available at seven sites throughout the community. And enrichment programs offer affordable, non-credit classes for fun. Classes are available at the Main Campus and online.
