Career Fair and Open House Oct 5 at Manatee Technical College


(Bradenton, FL—September 28, 2023)  Manatee Technical College and CareerSource Suncoast are inviting job seekers and potential students to a career fair and open house at the MTC Main Campus, 6305 E. State Road 70, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 5. 

Instructors and students will showcase their programs with hands-on demonstrations.  Career counselors and financial aid officers will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.  Over 70 companies will be represented.  Hiring managers will be present.  Food trucks will be on campus selling food and drinks.

 “This is an opportunity to see all the great things happening at MTC and meet employers from high-tech, in-demand local companies,” said Doug Wagner, director of MTC. 

 Examples of demonstrations visitors will see include:

  • Digital Video Technology – Video editing and mock broadcasts.
  • Electrician – Basic switching and electrical theory.
  • Diesel – Assembly of a Caterpillar 3116 engine and assembly of electrical circuits on trainers.
  • Computer Systems/IT – Various stages of repair on laptops and desktop computers.
  • Machining – CNC milling and CNC turning.
  • Auto Collision – Vehicle in process of being repaired, airbrushing demonstration.
  • Cosmetology – Haircuts, color, styling, and other salon services.
  • Facials Specialty – Mini demo stations – facials, tint, wax, and eyelash
  • Barbering – Modern fade haircuts, hot towel shaves, men’s facials 
  • Early Childhood – Fall Sensory Bin
  • Culinary Arts – Making a truffle mushroom risotto.
