(Bradenton, FL—November 21, 2016)   Manatee Technical College is holding the 3rd Annual Career and Hiring Fest on December 7, 2016, from 3 to 6 p.m. in partnership with CareerSource Suncoast.  The fest is designed to help people find jobs and learn about educational opportunities.

The event will feature over 40 companies and showcase over 20 MTC programs.  School personnel will be on hand to answer questions about enrollment and financial aid.  Attendees will also be able to tour the building.

SkillsUSA members in the Marketing, Management and Entrepreneurial Principles program are organizing the event both as a class project and as a SkillsUSA project.  The students are demonstrating skills they have learned in advertising, communications, and events management.  SkillsUSA is a career and technical student organization that promotes excellence, employability skills and ethics to help better prepare students for successful careers.

“This event is open to the public and meant to benefit everyone in our community,” said Barbara Lasser, MTC marketing instructor and SkillsUSA advisor.  For more information, email lasserb@manateeschools.net or call 941.751.7900 x 1067.
