Phlebotomy Evening Class

Program Description

This course provides knowledge and skills in venous and capillary specimen collection, handling of specimens to OSHA regulations, and performing routine diagnostic hematology tests. At the completion of the course, students are eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Phlebotomy Technician Certification. This course includes Blood Borne Pathogens and Basic Life Support (BLS). 

*You will need to wear black scrubs (top and bottoms) to class.

Immunization needed:

MMR (Measles/Mumps/Rubella)within last 10yrs
Tdap (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within last 10 yrs
Tuberculosis-negative result (Current/within 12 months)
Varicella (Chicken Pox)within last 10 yrs
