This course is a blended course (online and face to face). You will be required to attend a face-to-face class and complete assignments online. This course provides knowledge and skills in venous and capillary specimen collection, handling of specimens to OSHA regulations, and performing routine diagnostic hematology tests. At the completion of the course, students are eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Phlebotomy Technician Certification. Students entering this course will work with currently enrolled students in the Medical Assisting Hybrid Program.
Pre-requisites: Must be 18 years or older. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Immunizations-documentation to be provided by students. Please bring a copy of your ID, high school diploma, and Immunization records to the first day of class.
Cost does not include an optional NHA Certification Exam $117.
