Financial aid workshop at MTC November 9

(Bradenton, FL—November 4, 2021) Manatee Technical College will host a financial aid workshop on Tuesday, November 9, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.  The workshop may be attended virtually or in person.  This help session is focused on supporting students who have delayed postsecondary plans due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Attendees will receive help filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  In-person attendees will receive dinner.  All attendees will be entered in drawings for door prizes.  Workshop pre-registration is required.

The workshop is being sponsored by REACH Manatee thanks to the generous support of the Helios Education Foundation and the Florida College Access Network (FCAN) in partnership with the Florida College System Foundation (FCS) Florida Student Success Center.  REACH Manatee is Manatee County’s local college access network.

Completion of the FAFSA is a prerequisite to be considered for the Pell Grant, the Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, the Federal Work-Study program, as well as many state and local grants and scholarships.
