Alaskan police officer travels 5,000 miles to take training at MTC Law Enforcement Academy

(Bradenton, FL—September 3, 2020) Juliano Falieros traveled close to 5,000 miles to take a one-week training at the Manatee Technical College Law Enforcement Academy.
The 31-year-old is a police officer with the Anchorage (Alaska) Police Department. “I looked online, and the MTC academy had good ratings and good reviews,” said Falieros about why he chose MTC.
The Equivalency of Training provides out-of-state officers the opportunity to prepare for the certifying exam to become law enforcement officers in the state of Florida. He flew in just for the EOT training. He plans to take the test tomorrow before he flies back to Alaska on Saturday.
Falieros grew up on Florida’s East Coast and wants to return to the Sunshine State. The two-year veteran hopes to be hired by a Florida law enforcement agency before the end of the year.
