Manatee Technical College moves programs; still time to enroll

(Bradenton, FL—August 7, 2018)   Manatee Technical College is moving several programs this year to better accommodate students and the community.  While most programs are full, a few still have openings at this time.

Medical Administrative Specialist and Medical Coder/Biller ATD will move to MTC’s East Campus to join the college’s other health occupations programs.  The Lakewood Ranch campus still has openings in Medical Administrative Specialist, Optometric Assisting, and Pharmacy Technician.

The Massage Therapy program will move to the Main Campus to join the school’s other spa-related programs, and it will be offered day and night.  The day class is full, but the night class has openings.

The Main campus also has openings in Automotive Collision Technology Technician, Building Trades and Construction Design Technology, Carpentry, Major Appliance and Refrigeration Technician, and Plumbing during the day and the evening Machining program.  The new Advanced Manufacturing and Production Technology can also accept a few more students.

GED® Preparation and Adult English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) start on August 13.  MTC offers GED day classes at CareerSource Suncoast on Manatee Avenue and several Goodwill locations (Corporate, Cortez, and Ranch Lake) and GED night classes at MTC Main Campus and CareerSource Suncoast.  MTC offers ESOL day and night classes at MTC Main and West campuses and ESOL night classes at CareerSource Suncoast.  Adult students may also enroll in Online ESOL and GED.

MTC also offers adult students the opportunity to enroll in a Career and Technical Education program to learn the skills to prepare for a career while learning English or working towards a GED.
