Safe Sitter® Summer Camp

Give Your Child the Gift of Confidence This Summer!

Is your child ready to become a trusted, responsible caregiver? SafeSitter® Summer Camp teaches kids the skills they need to safely care for neighborhood kids and younger siblings while building confidence that lasts all year long.

Over four fun-filled mornings, campers will learn hands-on babysitting techniques, earn Friends & Family CPR certification, discover dog CPR basics, and learn water safety awareness skills. Plus, they’ll get creative with interactive art projects designed to boost their confidence and social skills.

Perfect for kids who want to babysit, help around the house, or simply gain real-world skills and independence.

Safe Sitter® Essential Course

This instructor-led course is designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they are home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. This condensed, high-impact session focuses on the core pillars of the Safe Sitter® curriculum through interactive games and role-playing exercises.

Perfect for busy students looking for core safety fundamentals in a 2-hour format.

What Students Learn:

  • Safety Skills: How to prevent unsafe situations and what to do during power failures or weather emergencies.
  • Child Care Skills: Tips for managing behavior, practicing diapering, and understanding the different stages of child development.
  • First Aid & Rescue: A systematic approach to assessing injuries and illnesses, including basic first aid.
  • Life & Business Skills: Professionalism for young sitters, including how to screen jobs and discuss fees safely.

Safe Sitter Grandparents Program Description

Many things have changed since you raised your children. It is important to learn the new care recommendations based on research from doctors and scientists studying infants’ and children’s physical and emotional development. Taught by a Registered Nurse, and certified Safe Sitter® Instructor, participants will learn how to provide the best and safest care for their grandchildren. They will also learn the latest information on how to manage the behavior of children of all ages, in addition to lifesaving skills such as CPR, choking rescue, first aid, and injury management. Learning tips on creating a good relationship from the start as well as learning to say no to every request to babysit will help grandparents enhance their relationship with their children and create lasting memories with their grandchildren. Includes Skills Practice, Guided Discussion, and a Digital Presentation.
