Be Ready for the Holidays! – Photography 101 or C3: Creative Casual Culinary

Photography 101 or C3: Creative Casual Culinary

(Bradenton, FL—October 22, 2014)   Manatee Technical Institute is offering two fun classes just in time for the holidays: Photography and Creative Casual Culinary.  Both classes start in November.  Both are being taught by true professionals in their fields.

Photography 101 is being offered by Master Photographer Carmen Schettino.  Schettino wants to share his love of photography by teaching people how to get the maximum creative use and enjoyment out of their digital cameras during the holidays and for years to come.

C3: Creative Casual Culinary will be taught by Chef James Arnsby, who studied his profession at the French Culinary Institute in Manhattan.  Chef Arnsby is delighted to be offering a November class focusing on Thanksgiving and a December class with a Christmas theme. He wants to help people get control over their holiday meal preparation, as well as teach them ways to present them artistically.

MTI’s non-credit enrichment classes are open to all adults for their enjoyment and enrichment.  They’re a great way to meet others with similar interests and have fun learning something new.

The photography class will include learning about shutter speeds, ISO settings, F-stops, white balance, making basic corrections in Photoshop, rules of composition, lighting, photographing people for maximum effect, tabletop photography and more.

The culinary class will cover basic techniques and simple yet very defined and detailed ways of preparing the food, managing the flow of work in the kitchen, and plating artistry.

Photography 101 costs $140 for 10 sessions that meet on Tuesdays beginning November 11 from 6 to 9 p.m. (as well as one Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to noon) at the MTI Main Campus.  For best results, students should have a DSLR camera with a changeable lens.

The Thanksgiving themed C3: Creative Casual Culinary class costs $125 per person or $200 per couple for 5 sessions that meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, November 4, 6, 11, 13 and 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the MTI Main Campus.  Full payment due by October 30, with no refunds after this date.  The C3 classes will be offered on a monthly basis with a different theme each month.
