Retirees of the Investment Plan are eligible for renewed membership in the Investment Plan only. FRS reemployment rules apply for both.

Job Title or Skills Set Required

This is advanced technical work in the design, installation and maintenance of Instrumentation Systems. Will troubleshoot, develop, and support Process Instrumentation in the Water and Wastewater Systems for Lee County Utilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains and calibrates all types of equipment used in the water and wastewater industry.
Work includes troubleshooting and repairing all types of instrumentation and replacing damaged equipment.
Coordinates with plant operations staff and performs calibrations of the instruments to meet compliance standards.
Incumbent will work on a daily work order system under the general direction of an Instrumentation Superintendent.

Education, Experience, Licensing

Minimum Requirements:
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to High School graduation or GED equivalent and four years of experience in general electronics, instrumentation, water systems, wastewater systems, or related field.
Possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
College coursework or technical school training in the field of water and wastewater instrumentation and knowledge of codes and standards related to the instrumentation field is preferred.

Supplemental Information
The workdays and hours for this position are Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with required Emergency On-Call rotations which could include nights, weekends and holidays.
