Overview
Entry and training level electrical systems work in the installation, maintenance, relocation, repair, and expansion of the City’s electrical infrastructure, wires, cables, lines, conduit and equipment, including underground and overhead services.
Essential Functions
Assists electricians with troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, repairing, installing, and modifying electrical systems and infrastructure such as exterior and interior lighting and controls, power circuits, wiring, and devices.
Completes all task adhering to applicable codes and standards.
Assists with preventable maintenance tasks.
Helps with the installation of electrical equipment.
Follows complex directions with attention to detail.
Works from aerial lift and elevated platforms.
Maintains records for repairs performed by completing workorders and other paperwork.
Maintains a safe work environment.
Cleans and performs operator maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
Provides service excellence through courteous and professional engagement.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED,
One (1) year experience in electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair,
Possess and maintain a valid State of Florida driver’s license,
The ability to possess and maintain a valid Class “B” or higher State of Florida Commercial driver’s license (CDL) within six (6) months of employment is required.
