Job Title: Food & Beverage Manager 
Department: Golf Club 
Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing and facilitating all dining outlets, bars, banquets, catering services at IMG Academy’s Golf Club.  This role ensures the highest standards of service, quality, and presentation across dining experiences, while driving profitability and member satisfaction. 
 
The Food & Beverage Manager position is a hands-on leader who thrives in a hospitality environment, excels at team development, and can balance daily operations with strategic growth initiatives.

 Key Responsibilities:

Supervise the restaurant service staff and responsible for the entire front of house operation 

Provide continuous standards of service training of all service staff, including steps of service and name recognition of members 

Monitor and ensure a high standard of service is delivered in a professional and friendly manner 

Assist with inventory management

Strategize with team regarding activations of events to help drive business from locals.

Utilize Menu Design Programs to help elevate the menu design at restaurant and help be able to rotate out menu items with out having to redesign entire menu.

Maintain proper staffing levels according to schedule and business volume 

Assist with the coordination of special events in partnership with the Banquet Manager and Coordinator 

Ensures the Food and Beverage Department is knowledgeable of daily activities, group and VIP guests as well as special requests and repeat guests. Check guest request log, making sure any special requests are carried out accordingly, greet guests upon arrival 

Establish and maintain cost control systems for all Beverage-related inventories

Meets or exceeds all financial and guest service obligations

Monitor and maintain golf club cleanliness expectations

Ensures that property maintains compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations

Has strong knowledge of POS systems and creates/updates system regularly with content and pricing

Handles guest challenges in a friendly and courteous manner

Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow employees and other departments within the Golf Club 

Have knowledge of and assist in emergency procedures as required

Manage time effectively, meeting personal and company goals and working effectively with other members of the team 

Support and maintain a high level of understanding of the Golf Club and IMG Academy

Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes

Qualifications:

5+ years of related experience at a managerial level or equivalent 

Thorough knowledge of food and beverage areas with emphasis on service standards and employee training 

Strong passion and knowledge for culinary excellence and customer service 

Excellent customer service skills with a passion for hospitality and guest interaction 

Highly organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment 

Positive attitude with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset 

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 

Ability to lift, carry, move, push and pull equipment or boxes up to 40lbs

Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift

Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc. 

Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time

Frequent lifting and carrying trays of food and drinks  

Background Requirements: 

Requires a background check upon offer.
