Job description:

Job Overview
We are seeking skilled and passionate part time Line Cooks to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with experience in casual dining and restaurant environments.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and consistency
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety guidelines and regulations
Support catering events by preparing dishes in large quantities while maintaining quality standards
Serve dishes efficiently during service hours, ensuring timely delivery to guests
Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other culinary tools
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Requirements

Preferred experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or food service environment
Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
Strong skills in menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling
Experience in quick service or casual dining restaurant settings preferred
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
Understanding of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Prior experience with catering or serving is advantageous
Culinary experience with a focus on quality presentation and flavor balance
