i3Automation is looking for a motivated and hands-on Junior Controls & SCADA Engineer/Technician to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technical school graduate, college student, recent graduate, or someone with approximately 1 year of experience who wants to build a career in industrial automation, SCADA systems, and control systems.
Responsibilities
Assist with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
Support SCADA development and maintenance projects.
Participate in field startup, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
Provide field support to the remote engineering team.
Assist with database configuration and data integration.
Work with industrial communication networks and devices.
Travel to customer sites as required for project support.
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year of experience in industrial automation, controls, or related fields.
Technical school graduate, current student, recent graduate, or university graduate.
Basic knowledge of PLC programming:
Rockwell Automation
Schneider Electric
RTAC systems
Basic knowledge of SCADA platforms:
VTScada
Ignition Perspective
Familiarity with SQL databases:
Microsoft SQL Server
MySQL
Understanding of Modbus TCP communications.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated and willing to learn.
Work Environment
Approximately 50% remote support.
Approximately 50% travel to customer sites.
All travel expenses paid by the company.
