Jansen Shutters & Specialties (JSS) is seeking a skilled professional to bring custom designs to life through precise shop fabrication and on-site installations. The role requires working with various metals, interpreting blueprints, and maintaining high craftsmanship standards.1
Key Responsibilities
Custom Fabrication: Read blueprints and engineering drawings to lay out, cut, fit, and fabricate components.1
High-Quality Welding: Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.1
On-Site Installation: Travel to client sites to install components, ensuring they are structurally sound and perfectly aligned.1
Quality Control: Inspect finished work using precision tools like calipers and micrometers.1
Equipment Maintenance: Operate shop machinery, including shears, brakes, and ironworkers.1
Safety: Adhere strictly to OSHA and JSS safety protocols.1
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: At least 3 years in custom metal fabrication and welding, willing to train and help gain experience
Technical Skills: Proficiency in multi-process welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) and ability to pass a weld test.1
Literacy: Strong ability to interpret complex fabrication drawings and weld symbols.1
Math: Solid geometry and fractional math skills for accurate layout.1
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25 lbs and work in various weather conditions.1
Licensure: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.1
