Prefer Care at Home is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide one-on-one care for seniors in the comfort of their own homes. This is an excellent opportunity for college students pursuing careers in nursing, healthcare, physical therapy, occupational therapy, social work, or other healthcare professions to gain valuable hands-on experience while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Unlike working in a facility, our caregivers have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients by providing individualized care in a home setting.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Provide companionship and emotional support
Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed
Perform light housekeeping and laundry
Provide medication reminders (as permitted)
Escort clients to appointments and community outings
Observe and report changes in a client's condition to the nursing supervisor
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Qualifications
Current Florida CNA License
Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass a Level II background screening
Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
