Overview
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and be proficient in the use of various tools and equipment. This role involves working with precision instruments to create high-quality parts and components, ensuring that all specifications and tolerances are met. The Manual Machinist will play a crucial role in our production process, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of our operations.

Duties
Set up and operate manual milling machines and lathes to machine parts to specifications.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to determine machining processes.
Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure accuracy.
Perform routine machine maintenance, including lubrication and adjustments.
Work with a variety of metals, including steel, aluminum, brass, and stainless steel.
Ensure quality control throughout the machining process, making necessary adjustments to maintain tolerances.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Requirements
Proven experience in machining with a strong understanding of manual machining techniques.
Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and tolerances.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing technologies within the industry.
