(Bradenton, FL—April 11, 2017) Dental assisting students Heather Thielen and Gabrielle Hook qualified to compete at the international level when they took first and third place, respectively, in college-level Dental Terminology at the HOSA Future Health Professionals State Leadership Conference April 6-9 in Orlando. The International Competitive Events will be held in June at Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
MTC had six competitors at the state event. Emily White, also a dental assisting student, garnered fifth place in Dental Science. The students had qualified to go to state by earning medals at the Regional Conference.
HOSA is a national career and technical student organization.
