Job Title or Skills Set Required

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
● Performs day-to-day Clinic administrative functions and general office duties including but not limited to data entry into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), monthly reports, word processing, copying, filing, faxing, and answering phones.
● Completes and follows up on paperwork for the Patient Assistance Program for pharmaceuticals
● Checking patient vital signs each day and keep precise records in the patient’s chart
● Reminding patients to take medications and other nutritional supplements as needed
● Provide patient care under the supervision of other licensed providers.
● Closely monitor and record any testing, injury and or pain output, to be shared with key medical and nursing staff
● Welcomes and greets clients/visitors to the clinic in a manner that is helpful and friendly; determines the purpose of visit and provides intake for appropriate service(s).
● Adheres to all Clinic policies on safety and security; maintains restricted areas safety by safeguarding organization resources and computer system passwords in strict confidentiality.
● Attends scheduled department staff and clinical meetings.
● Performs other duties as may be required.

Qualification:

● High school diploma or equivalent
● State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
● One year of office management experience in a comparable health care setting.
● Prior administrative or clerical experience in clinical or community-based setting preferred.

Skills Required:

● Must have the ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy and tact; excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills; Cultural sensitivity and demonstrated the ability to work with diverse people groups.
● Must be highly flexible; able to accommodate changing needs of the department.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Spanish required; Additional language abilities desirable.
● Knowledge and effective implementation of basic office procedures.
● Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision. Proven flexibility and willingness to handle a variety of tasks.
● Basic to intermediate computer knowledge and skills, particularly Microsoft products and preferably EMR systems.
