Automation & Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Sarasota, FL |On-Site |Full-Time | Monday–Friday 8:15am – 5pm
CCG is currently looking for an Automation and Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Quality Assurance team in our Sarasota, FL offices. This position supports operations as a shared service across all verticals, and plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability, uptime, and overall performance of our production equipment, helping keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently.

WHAT YOU WILL DO AS AN AUTOMATION & MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated and mechanical production equipment.
Troubleshoot pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Respond rapidly to downtime events to restore production.
Support changeovers and equipment setups.
Troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen Bradley / Siemens preferred).
Diagnose issues with sensors, actuators, VFDs, motors, and control panels.
Support servo-driven and automated assembly systems.
Assist with new equipment installation and commissioning.
Analyze downtime trends and implement root cause solutions.
Support OEE improvement initiatives.
Create and maintain preventive maintenance programs and CMMS documentation.
Partner with Quality and Operations teams to reduce recurring failures.
WHAT MAKES YOU THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
3–5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Experience supporting automated equipment.
Pneumatic system troubleshooting experience.
Electrical troubleshooting experience.
Basic PLC/HMI troubleshooting ability.
Ability to read assembly, electrical, and mechanical schematics.
Experience with ultrasonic welding equipment, Preferred.
Experience with robotics or automation systems, Preferred.
Knowledge of Lean, TPM, or OEE concepts, Preferred.
Ability to bend, squat, kneel, reach, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
