Applied Cybersecurity

Program Content: This program offers a sequence of courses that provide skills needed to prepare for further education and cybersecurity-related careers. The structure is intended to prepare students for CompTIA’s Security+ certification and learn additional skills/knowledge that leads to other network security industry certifications. Training includes but is not limited to computer and network security, security vulnerabilities, attack mechanisms and techniques, intrusion detection and prevention, cryptographic systems, system hardening, risk identification, incident response, penetration testing, key management, access control, and recovery.

Length of Program: 750 Hours – Approximately 6 months full-time to complete

Industry Certifications: Program graduates are prepared to acquire CompTIA’s Security+ certification and learn additional skills/knowledge that leads to other network security industry certifications.
