Manatee Technical College Names Business/Industry Services Coordinator | From Sarasota Magazine

Manatee Technical College (MTC) has named Heather Koester its new business and industry services coordinator. In her new role, Koester will connect the local business community to more than 50 MTC workforce training programs. She will work to build on and establish strong communication lines with current and new business and industry partners. Responsibilities include developing programs to keep the current and future staff of our local employers trained to meet current and emerging workforce needs; connecting local employers with qualified applicants who have technical knowledge, as well as the practical experience necessary in today’s technology-driven environment; and aligning business and industry leaders with MTC’s Advisory Council to contribute to the future growth and economic stability of our area.

Koester began her career in the United States Army as a combat medic, going on to lead a U.S Army public relations initiative over a six-state region. Most recently she was the lead community engagement coordinator for The Patterson Foundation.
