New GED® prep class to be offered at MTC Main Campus

A GED® Test Preparation class will be offered at the Manatee Technical College (formerly Manatee Technical Institute) main campus beginning January 22, 2015. Enrollment specifically for the new class will be held on Thursday, January 15 from noon to 7 p.m.  Students may also enroll starting at noon on the first day of class.

The GED class will meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.  It is the first time a GED Test Preparation class will be offered at the new campus on State Road 70. It is the only GED Test Preparation class offered in the eastern part of the county.

The majority of adult general education classes are held at MTC’s West and North Campuses, as well as at satellite locations throughout the School District.  Manatee Technical College (West Campus) is the Official GED® Testing Center for Manatee County.

MTC’s adult general education classes include English for speakers of other languages (ESOL), adult basic education, academic skills for adult ESOL, applied academics, and GED® Test Preparation.
